lesson or project.
For this project, the students will all choose a meaningful song of their choice. The song that they select must have at least one theme that students' can identify. Using Photo Story, students will create a "music video" by playing their song, selecting pictures and connecting information and events to their song. Additionally, these pictures will help highlight the theme or themes of the song which will be labeled toward the end of their music video. The students will create their Photo Story in the computer lab and eventually present their "music video" to the class.

Student Outcomes What will students learn
and do?
Students will learn that songs often have themes (a message about life) and they will learn to identify these themes in a song of their choice. Plus, they will think about themes in music as they listen to songs throughout their lives. Using Photo Story, the students will connect their song to information and events using pictures. These connections will convey the themes and meaning of the song in a "music video" sort of way. Once the students are done with their project, students will present their "music video" to the class.
